Aix-en-Provence is a living canvas, where every stone and every landscape resonates with Cezanne’s imprint. In 2025, several emblematic sites are reopening their doors or offering new immersive tours:

The Bibémus quarries: the birthplace of Cubism

Located at the foot of Sainte-Victoire, these ochre-hued quarries inspired more than 27 of Cezanne’s works, including La Montagne Sainte-Victoire vue de Bibémus. It was here that he experimented with the forms and perspectives that would influence Picasso and Braque in the birth of Cubism.

The Jas de Bouffan country house: the heart of his inspiration

A family home and the painter’s first studio, the Jas de Bouffan bastide will be gradually reopened in 2025. Discover the restored rooms, walk through the inspiring grounds and learn how this place shaped his artistic vision.

L’atelier des Lauves: the sanctuary of his last works

Cezanne’s last creative space, the Atelier des Lauves has remained intact, preserving the very essence of the painter. From summer 2025, it will offer an immersive experience, allowing visitors to plunge into the artist’s creative intimacy.
