When we imagine advanced yoga practice, we think of poses that resemble contortionism. You may be surprised to learn that the pose often considered the most advanced is Savasana, pictured here.
When it comes to yoga, it's not the flexibility of your joints that determines your level of experience, but your ability to engage in conversation with your body and your inner self.
Savasana is a perfect example of this:
Contrary to appearances, Savasana, which traditionally closes a yoga session (and which, in Raja Yoga, can also open it), is not a nap. It should not induce a state of sleepiness.
When practiced correctly, Savasana provides unparalleled clarity of mind through complete relaxation.
To achieve this state, several practice sessions are necessary.
Would you like to discover the practice of yoga?
We welcome you exclusively throughout the year for cycles of 7 Raja Yoga classes (the Royal Path of Yoga) based on Deepak Chopra's revolutionary method.
Our classes take place on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. They may be preceded by a meditation session (offered to members).
